Airport industry suppliers expand their business activities in growth markets
Inter airport China 2010 now bigger with outdoor space available
Although the airport industry has been experiencing a difficult economic situation, many suppliers of airport equipment are now reportedly taking very positive action to increase activity in growing markets, such as China, according to the exhibitor survey carried out at inter airport Europe 2009. While the European event, held in October last year in Munich, Germany, was a big success - attracting some 543 exhibitors and over 12,000 international trade visitors - it is clear that China too has become a renewed focus for new business.
“For suppliers of ground support equipment, terminal installations and furnishings, specialised hard and software and airfield construction, the Chinese market provides excellent sales opportunities,” explains Tom Ho, Exhibition Director inter airport China on behalf of Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “According to the latest plan for civil airport construction which was presented at the China Civil Airport Summit (CAAC) in July last year, 140 airport construction projects are planned in China for the next five years. These projects include 50 brand new airports and a large number of major expansions,” says Tom Ho.
inter airport China takes place from 14-16 September 2010 at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. inter airport China offers outdoor exhibition area for GSE equipment
This year, inter airport China will offer a new opportunity for suppliers of outdoor airport equipment. For the first time the show will have limited outdoor space for large-scale exhibits. By adding this key feature of the flagship event inter airport Europe to the fourth exhibition for airport equipment, technology, design and services for the Chinese market, organisers Mack Brooks Exhibition now also allow for suppliers of powerful vehicles and large-scale GSE to present their latest technology live to the Chinese audience.
To help provide an insight into future requirements for airport equipment and services for China’s airport infrastructure projects, inter airport China 2010 will again offer the much valued “Meet the Buyers Programme”. It runs over three days and includes presentations by senior figures from key airport authorities and government agencies, followed by question and answer sessions. The programme is open to all show participants.
A large number of exhibitors have already reserved their stand space at inter aiport China 2010, including strong group participations of German and French exhibitors. As floor space, particularly in the outdoor area of the exhibition, is limited, the organisers recommend early reservation. Information on how to participate can be found at www.interairportchina.com
inter airport China is part of the inter airport series of events organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions. inter airport India 2011, designed for the Indian market, will take place again from 8-10 March 2011 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
