New outdoor exhibit space announced at inter airport South East Asia
inter airport South East Asia, the region’s premier airport exhibition has responded to increased demand for exhibition stands by announcing the availability of a new outdoor space for their 2019 edition. The extra space now available will provide suppliers an ideal “in situ” display for their large airport machinery during the 3-day exhibition. Taking place in Singapore from 27th February to the 1st March 2019, the 6th edition of inter airport South East Asia will once again provide airport professionals with the latest industry trends and information on the challenges facing the region’s airports.
When asked about the new exhibit space and continual growth of the expo, inter airport South East Asia’s Exhibition Manager, Suwapit (Annie) Aujanasarun, stated, “We currently have 71% more exhibit space booked when comparing like for like sales from the 2017 edition. This is not only very encouraging for the exhibition but also a sign that suppliers are looking for ways to display larger equipment. The new outdoor area, which comes as a readymade pitch and includes an air-conditioned sales cabin, will provide a perfect setting for large GSE and equipment displayed at the show.”
Some of the leading suppliers in the market have already confirmed their space at inter airport South East Asia, as they are looking to tap into a market and region that is witnessing unprecedented growth. The driving factors behind increasing investment in the region’s airports and infrastructure are due to an overwhelming demand for air travel and the challenges of the growth in airport traffic and passenger numbers.
Airport expansions across the region have led to many new headline projects, including Singapore’s Changi airport, which is building two new terminals, doubling their existing capacity, in addition to Project Jewel, creating a first class leisure experience for travellers; a US$ 23.11 billion investment in 4 new Vietnamese airports; the construction of Vietnams Cam Ranh and Laos Vientiane International Airports; and Thailand’s Phase 2 expansion of Suvarnabhumi Airport, which will support an extra 60 million passengers valued at US$ 70billion.
inter airport South East Asia continues to enjoy strong support and a close working relationship with regional and local bodies, such as the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB). The exhibition has also received international support from associations around the world, including the German Airport Technology & Equipment Association (GATE) and the British Airports Services and Equipment Association (BASEA).
The exhibition will also see the return of its regular industry partner, Smart Airports Conference, organised by Aviation Media, which will run concurrently with inter airport South East Asia.
